The TinMan Series is perfect for those who like to keep moving! The National TINMAN Series is the oldest and the biggest family Tri-Series in South Africa. The series was started in 1999 and has become very popular nationally and a household name to many athletes and households. Many of SA's top athletes cut their teeth at the TINMAN Series over the last 25 years.
SUNCOAST has been the host venue for the TINMAN Series for over 18 years now. The venue offers free parking and a beautiful grass area next to the beach for the transition area. It is also easy to access and safe.
The TINMAN Durban Routes are all well established and perfect for the whole family to race on. The Swim takes place at Ushaka Beach, while the transition is set at the Sundeck infront of Suncoast, next to the finish area. There is full road closure for this event.

1.2km Swim / 3.5km Run / 32km Cycle / 6.5km Run. Open to anyone 16yrs and up.
The new TINMAN Series Leaderboard adds an exhilarating layer to the competition, assigning points strategically to the top 10 participants per event.
This scoring system, ranging from 10 points for the leader to 1 point for the 10th position, adds a thrilling dynamic to each race. It amplifies the stakes, as athletes not only vie for individual event victories but also strategically accumulate points over the series.The leaderboard transforms each race into a chessboard of tactics, enhancing the overall intensity and fostering a heightened sense of competition.
The new Leaderboard ensures that consistency and excellence are duly rewarded in this prestigious triathlon series. Points will be updated every Wednesday after each event.
It is the athletes responsibility to know the race routes and the number of laps they need to do while racing. Marshals and Officials will not be able to assist.
